Lawyer.
Born in Ontario in 1881, son of Alexander Lawrence and Margaret Bond (1857-1924), his childhood was spent at Morden. He graduated from Manitoba College, was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1907, and practiced law with his boyhood friend Max Steinkopf. He was made a King's Counsel in 1931. He later practiced with his eldest son in the firm of Lawrence and Lawrence.
He married Sarah Vera Glenn (1884-1943) and they had three children: Alexander Glenn “Alex” Lawrence (1909-1989), William Bond Lawrence (1910-?), and Helen Patricia Lawrence (1917-1980, wife of John Arthur Campbell Sprague).
He died at his Winnipeg home on 13 October 1959 and was buried with his wife in the Brookside Cemetery.
