Educator.
Born at Sarto on 14 February 1923, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and was a pilot during the Second World War. Upon military discharge and a return to civilian life, he embarked on a 37-year teaching career. Early on, he taught at Sarto School (1945-1946) and Lauder School (1947-1949). While at the Manitoba Teachers’ College, he met, and in 1949 marrried, fellow teacher Betty Eleanor Davidson (1927-2016). They taught together at Brant School (1949-1951) and Emerson School / Emerson Elementary School, the latter where he was both teacher (1951-1973) and Principal (1961-1973). He died at the Health Sciences Centre on 1 October 2000 and was buried in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
