Educator, community activist.
Born at Winnipeg on 7 September 1951, she attended St. Alphonsus School, St. Mary’s Academy, and the University of Manitoba. She spent 32 years as a teacher and teacher-librarian until being forced to retire due to poor health. She became involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and served as President for two years. She later joined the ALS Society and served on its Board of Directors. She was awarded the ALS Volunteer of the Year as well as an Honorary Life Member Award from the National ALS Society of Canada. In 2012, she received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her community service. She died at Winnipeg on 3 June 2015.
