Memorable Manitobans: Herbert M. Johnston (1883-?)Farmer. Born on a farm in Manitoba on 3 April 1883, son of Henry William Johnston and Barbara Nelson, he was educated at Clinton School in the Rural Municipality of Elton, quitting at the age of 15 to work on the family farm near Brandon.
