Memorable Manitobans: Jennie Johnson (1889-1980)Educator. Born at Winnipeg on 7 January 1889, daughter of Sigurlaug Gislason, she taught at Principal Sparling School (1913-1930) and was the Principal of George V School (1942-1946) and Fort Rouge School (1946-1949). She retired in 1949. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. She died at Selkirk on 30 May 1980 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery.
