Golfer.
Born at Winnipeg on 2 April 1948, his childhood was spent at Brandon and Sandy Hook. His prowess at golf was demonstrated early, winning in 1970 the Manitoba Junior Championship. Later accomplishments included the Manitoba PGA Championship (1971), Manitoba Open Championship (1977, 1978, 1983, 1984), and World Cup Championship (1980, 1985). After he left the golf tour, he was director of golf at a resort near Virden. He was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame (2002), Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame (2003), and Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (2007). He died at his home at Cambridge, Illinois on 18 November 2015.
