Municipal official.
Born near Steinbach in 1884, he was secretary of the agents' association of the Portage Mutual Fire Insurance Company and Secretary-Treasurer for the Rural Municipality of Hanover (1919-1944).
On 17 February 1910, he married Elisabeth R. Friesen (1886-1964) at Steinbach and they had five children, including Esther E. Goossen. He was active in the community as the representative for Hanover on the Children's Aid Society of Eastern Manitoba (1945-1951), a member of the board of the Red River Health Unit, and Chairman of the Victory Loan campaign during the Second World War.
He died at his Steinbach home and was buried in the Steinbach Cemetery.
