Born at Liverpool, England on 4 June 1880, son of Lee Fletcher (1856-1905) and Rosella Miller (1858-1930), he came to Winnipeg in 1904 and worked for the Claydon Construction Company before having his own building firm until retirement in 1951. On 30 October 1912, he married Jane Greenfield (1888-1978) at Winnipeg and they had four children: Ruth Verna Fletcher (1913-1953), Robert Lee “Bob” Fletcher (1915-1984), Jocelyn “Joyce” Fletcher (1919-?, wife of Frank H. Smith), Audrey Fletcher (1926-2002, wife of Richard Louis Sullivan). He died at his Winnipeg residence, 237 Jefferson Avenue, on 12 November 1964 and was buried in the Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery.
