Educator.
Born at Oxbow, Saskatchewan on 9 November 1913, one of five children of Albert Edward Dawson (1866-1942) and Rose Elizabeth McDonald (1883-1945), he grew up at Brandon and attended King George School. He was the Principal of Wellington School (1941-1942), Graysville School (1942-1945), Lenore School (1945-1948), Rathwell School (1948-1952), Plumas School (1952-1958), Plumas Collegiate (1958-1968, 1969-1971), and Gladstone School (1968-1969). On 11 October 1941, he married Clara Isabel Buschau (1913-2001) at Winnipeg and they had two sons and a daughter. He was an avid gardener and painter. He died at Neepawa on 25 December 1995.
