Businessman.
Born on 21 July 1937, son of Harold Bishop and Irene Urquhart, his working life began at the age of 15 when he became a television salesman at Eatons. He went on to work at Trans Canada Airline (today's Air Canada) while studying in the evening at the University of Manitoba. He graduated as a Certified Management Accountant and worked for the federal government with the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs. In 1974, he established Road Runner Courier (later Zipper Courier) which became one of the ten largest courier companies in North America before being sold in 1996. He then became General Manager of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1996-1999) and, after a brief retirement, was Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity. He was involved with the Kinsmen Club and West Rotary Club of Winnipeg. He died at Winnipeg on 5 July 2011.
