Hotelier.
Born in New Brunswick in 1875, son of Henry C. Bannister, came to Winnipeg with his father and was educated in local schools, later joining his father in the hotel business. In 1892, he moved to Carberry where he established the Dufferin Hotel. He later bought the mens furnishings business of Wright Garland and operated it under the name of Williams and Bannister.
In 1899, he married Florence Ann Carey (1878-?) of Oak River. They had three children: Henry Charles Bannister (1899-?), Ethel Bannister (1902-?), and Hazel Bannister (1903-?). He was the Returning Officer for the Norfolk constituency in the 1910 provincial general election.
He died in 1956 and was buried in the Carberry Plains Cemetery.
