Physician.
Born at Nelson on 29 January 1890, he came to Winnipeg in 1905. He was educated at St. Johns’ College (BA) and Manitoba College (1914). During the First World War, he served with the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was Professor of Medicine at the University of Manitoba (1943-1952) and Chief of Medicine for the Winnipeg General Hospital and Deer Lodge Hospital. He retired in 1959. He also served as a consultant to the Manitoba Hospital Commission. He and wife Jean Adamson (c1897-1995) had two daughters, Elizabeth Jean “Dee” Adamson (c1925-1997, wife of David McIntyre) and Julia Diana Adamson (wife of Donald Atkinson). He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 4 September 1964 and was buried in the St. John’s Cathedral Cemetery.
