Memorable Manitobans: Lawrence Jacob Weselake (1898-1962)Dentist. Born at Winnipeg on 24 July 1898, son of Jacob Weselake and Catherine Spanier, he practiced as a dentist on Selkirk Avenue until retirement in 1961. On 12 February 1931, he married Anna Cecelia Weselake (1902-1950) at St. James and they had four children: Carol Ann Elizabeth Louise Weselake, Frederick Jacob Weselake, Lawrence Richard Weselake, and George Daniel Weselake. The family lived at 355 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. He died at Vancouver, British Columbia on 12 October 1962 and was buried with his wife in the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery. See also:
