Memorable Manitobans: Joseph Albert Tremblay (1881-1938)Born at St. Etienne, Quebec on 28 May 1881, he came to Winnipeg around 1902 and was connected with the firm of James McDiarmid. He was later Vice-President of his brother's construction firm, J. H. Tremblay & Company, and started his own company, J. A. Tremblay, after his brother's death in 1917. He and wife Alberta ? (1890-?) had four children: Arthemise Tremblay, Edmond Tremblay, Albert Tremblay, and Yves Tremblay. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. At the time of his death, he lived at 786 Dorchester Avenue. He died at the Misericordia Hospital on 27 September 1938 and was buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
