Educator, author.
Born at Gunton on 21 January 1914, youngest daughter of Ethel Matalida Jones and William Bush, she attended teacher training at the Central Normal School in Winnipeg. She taught at Oakbank “A” School (1936-1938) and was Principal of Springfield School (1939-1942). On 15 December 1942, she married Milton Henning Rudolph Tegelberg (1914-2006) at Yale Avenue United Church in Transcona and they had four children.
Having raised her family, she returned to teaching in the Winnipeg School Division at Sir Sam Steele School (1963-1967). She was a member of the International Bonhoeffer Society, Canadian Authors Association, Pen Handlers Society, and a charter member of the Transcona Public Library. In recognition of his community service, she received a City of Winnipeg Community Service Award (1972). In retirement, she moved to Tsawwassen, British Columbia.
She died at White Rock, British Columbia on 28 September 1999 and was buried at the Valley View Memorial Gardens in Surrey.
