Memorable Manitobans: Larry Lynn Stoski (1952-2002)Bison rancher. Born on 24 September 1952, son of Matt Dmitro and Anne Stoski, he attended Gilbert Plains School, University of Manitoba, and Brandon University (BSc 1974). He was a lumberman, grain farmer, and owner of Wilson River Bison, where he developed a bison herd that was well-known across North America. He died at Gilbert Plains on 17 February 2002.
