Memorable Manitobans: Ruth Eleanor Stewart (1919-1994)


She was born in 1919 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, and moved to Brandon in 1956. She worked in the Education Library at Brandon University from 1963 until her retirement. She was very active in the Brandon arts community. She volunteered with the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba and was the President of the Brandon Palette Club. She was a member of the Arts West Council and attended many art retreats at Riding Mountain Conference Center in Riding Mountain National Park.
