Community activist.
Born on 12 February 1943, she grew up in St. James. She worked in the travel industry, especially as a property manager at Air Canada, where she opened offices and trained staff in Europe. In 1963, she married F. Gerald “Gerry” Sneesby and they had two sons. Active in the community, she ran for a seat on the Winnipeg city council in 1977. She was a trustee for the Winnipeg School Division and served as its Chair (2009-2010). She also volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Manitoba Liberal Party, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, and Women's Employment Counseling Service. She died at Winnipeg on 17 January 2023.
