Historian, photographer.
Born at Athens, Greece on 15 August 1948, son of Peter Siamandas (1912-1969) and Lemonia Diploudi (1912-1996), he came to Winnipeg with his family in 1956. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1969 and completed a Master’s degree at the University of Manitoba in 1971 with a thesis entitled “Public Policy for Downtown Redevelopment in Winnipeg.” He worked on special projects for the realty company of Aronovitch and Leipsic then was a special projects director (1980s) and Executive Director (1991-?) at Heritage Winnipeg. While there, he collaborated with Prairie Public Television in the production of video documentaries on Manitoba history. He died at Winnipeg on 23 September 2021 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery. He was survived by a wife and son.
