Born at Sopron, Hungary on 7 May 1932, he attended a general secondary school in the city of Gyor. He trained in Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Budapest then fled the country during the Hungarian Revolution of October 1956.
He arrived in Winnipeg in 1957 and was employed by architectural firms until 1968 when he successfully challenged the Canadian Standard Architectural Examination at the University of Manitoba. He became a member of the Manitoba Association of Architects and Ontario Association of Architects. Over the course of a 50-year career, he was involved in numerous commercial and residential projects. He founded and was the President of North Star Construction and Development Company from 1968 until retirement in 2008.
He served as a board member of the Manitoba Intercultural Council and founder of the Hungarian-Canadian Cultural Society of Manitoba.
He died at the Grace Hospital on 23 July 2015.
