Engineer.

Born at Winnipeg on 1 June 1913, daughter of building contractor Edward Russell (1880-?) and Kydippe Roupas (1886-?), in 1938 she received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Manitoba then did postgraduate work at the University of Southern California. She later returned to Manitoba and, in 1946, received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University, the first woman in Manitoba to do so.
