Business executive.
Born on a farm near Blumenort in the RM of Hanover on 30 September 1912, son of Abraham P. Reimer and Anna Dueck, he studied business in Winnipeg for three years. In August 1946, he became the Manager for the Steinbach Credit Union, holding the position until retirement in January 1983, having grown the organization into the province’s largest credit union with 15,000 members and $134 million in assets. In recognition of his work, in 1970 he received a Centennial Medal from the Manitoba Historical Society. On 17 September 1938, he married Clara Goossen (1914-1993) at Winnipeg and they had three children. He died at Steinbach on 4 May 1986 and was buried in the Steinbach Memorial Cemetery.
