Memorable Manitobans: Joan Reimer (1934-2008)

Artist.

Born at Winnipeg in 1934, she graduated from Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba and creatively assisted her husband Gordon Reimer in the family business of Reimer Display. She helped to design and build the The Three Wisemen statues that are displayed outside The Great West Life Building every Christmas season. The company also created the statue of Flintabbatey Flonatin in Flin Flon. She died in Winnipeg on 4 March 2008.
