Educator.
Born at Coventry, England on 23 November 1936, after graduating from Oxford University, he moved to Winnipeg in 1961. He taught History at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate (1961-1972) and at the University of Manitoba until retirement in 1996. He published several books, academic articles, and was a speaker at provincial, national, and international events. He has received the Prix Manitoba Award for his work in heritage education. He and wife Janet had two sons. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing jazz drums. He died at Winnipeg on 6 November 2025.
