Farmer.
Born at Whitney, England on 8 April 1861, son of Jason and Sarah Oliver, he came to Canada with his parents in 1879 and settled at Thedford, Ontario. He came to Manitoba in May 1879 and farmed near Manitou. He was married twice, first on 19 March 1889 to Christina McLeod (1866-1930) and they had three sons and eight daughters. In 1935, he married Wilmot Louise McBeth (1867-1962). He was a member of the Methodist Church. He died in April 1955 and was buried in the Manitou Cemetery.
