Memorable Manitobans: Nancy Noonan (1920-1990)

Musician.

Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, she was raised in Brandon. She studied piano at the Trinity School of Music in London and came to Winnipeg in the 1940s as a teacher, accompanist, and ensemble performer. She helped found the University of Manitoba Chamber Music Group. Noonan became a student again, attending Brandon University from 1979 to 1982. She died in St. Boniface.
