Memorable Manitobans: Jane Agnes Nisbet (1902-1959)

Educator.

Born at Stonewall on 21 November 1902, daughter of William J. Nisbet (1878-1936) and Agnes Mary Jessie Beatrice Lillies (?-?), she became a teacher and served as the Principal of Fairfax School (1941-1942), Gunton School (1942-1944), and East Poplar Point School (1944-1949). She later taught at Stonewall School. She died in 1959 and was buried in the Stonewall Cemetery.
