Memorable Manitobans: Barry Allan Mulder (1960-2008)
Businessman.
Born at Winnipeg on 3 January 1960, son of Dirk Gilbert Mulder and Velma Lydia “Val” Stople (1923-1999) he grew up at East St. Paul. In 1982 he received a BSc degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba. Following in the footsteps of his father, he spent many years running the family business, Mulder Construction. He served a term as President of the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association. He died from cancer on 23 February 2008.
