Farmer.
Born at Walkerton, Ontario on 3 November 1852, son of Alvey Baker Morden and Francis Hutchinson (1822-1915), he came to Manitoba with his family in 1874. Five years later, he married Elizabeth Bryne Borthwick (1852-1938, daughter of Hugh Jamieson Borthwick) and they subsequently had four children: Frank Borthwick Morden, Marion Morden, Bessie Morden, and Edward Morden. He served for 20 years as a member of the Morden school board, retiring in 1902. He was a member of the IOOF. He died in the RM of Bifrost on 24 April 1930 and was buried in the Morden HIllside Cemetery.
