Physician and surgeon.
Born at Gorrie, Ontario on 10 July 1883, son of William Montgomery and Mary Corbett, he was educated at the University of Toronto and Chicago Postgraduate Hospital, graduating from the latter in 1911. He practiced medicine at Winnipeg until retirement in 1962. During the First World War, he served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps.
On 14 August 1923, he married Ethel Maud Coley (1898-1994) and they had three children: Gloria Montgomery (wife of R. A. Hastings), Patricia Montgomery, and Wesley R. Montgomery (?-1960). He was a member of the Canadian Club, Canoe Club, IOOF (Hiawatha Lodge), Orange Lodge, Masons (Empire Lodge), Khartum Shriners, and Holy Trinity Anglican Church. He lived in Suite 14, Congress Apartments (c1925) and 17 Purcell Avenue (c1967).
He died at the Misericordia Hospital on 4 January 1967 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
