Educator.
Born in England in May 1866, he emigrated to Canada in 1902 and took up a farm near Anola, Manitoba. He also taught school, being Principal of Luxton School (1908-1910), Greenway School (1910-1912), Luxton School (1912-1918), and later Victoria School (1922-1924). He and wife Louisa Maude Nichols had four children: Frede Mellors (b 1893, wife of T. H. Nicholls), Edwin Mellors (b 1895), Janet Mary Mellors (b 1903), and Emma Mellors (b 1906). He died at Winnipeg on 14 August 1924 and was buried in Millbrook Cemetery.
