Memorable Manitobans: George McCloy (1922-2009)Broadcaster. Born on 26 July 1922, he was a broadcaster on radio station CJOB and was well-known for his coverage of Winnipeg Blue Bomber games. In recognition of his community service, he was inducted into the Manitoba Order of the Buffalo Hunt (1987) and received the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation Medal (1992).
