Educator.
Born at Lethbridge, Alberta on 29 June 1914, daughter of Edna Pearl Murphy (1889-1940) and William James Marshall (1869-1919), she attended school locally, attained a teaching certificate at Calgary, and she earned a BA (1955) and BEd (1957) from the University of Manitoba.
She taught at Lethbridge early on, followed with time at Winnipeg working in the Winnipeg School District / Winnipeg School Division. She taught at Laura Secord School (1947-1949), Grosvenor School (1952-1958), Robert H. Smith School (1959-1962), and Sargent Park School (1963-1964), and was Principal of Montcalm School (1964-1967), Robertson School (1967-1972), and Lord Selkirk School (1972-1974). She retired in 1974 and returned to her home town of Lethbridge.
She died at Lethbridge on 24 December 1994 and her cremains were interred locally at the Mountain View Cemetery.
