Memorable Manitobans: Johnathan Western Mansfield (1882-1962)Farmer. Born at Brandon on 11 August 1882, son of Johnathan (1844-1933) and Elizabeth Caroline Ringe (?-?), he attended local country schools for two summers but was otherwise largely self-educated. He rented his father’s 640-acre farm on Section 27, Township 11, Range 8 near Brandon. On 24 January 1912, he married Blanch White (?-?) at Toronto, Ontario. He was a member of the Anglican Church.
