Memorable Manitobans: William Thomas Low (c1882-1974)
Grain merchant.
Born at Edinburgh, Scotland around 1882, he came to Canada in 1904 where he was a member of the Winnipeg Grain Exchange and Secretary-Treasurer of Wiley Low & Company (circa 1930). He retired to Calgary in 1958. On 15 August 1910, he married Rose Constance “Connie” Dickson (c1887-1955) at Winnipeg and they had a son, son Thomas Low (1916-?). He died at Calgary, Alberta on 16 June 1974 and was buried in the St. James Cemetery.
