Memorable Manitobans: Sinclair Lewis (1911-2003)Realtor. Born at Virden on 12 January 1911, he grew up in Winnipeg. During the Second World War, he served as an officer in the Lake Superior Regiment. He was President of John A. Flanders Company, a member of the Winnipeg Real Estate Board and served as its President. He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1967 and enjoyed golfing and vacationing in Arizona. He died at Vancouver on 18 January 2003. Sources:Birth registration, Manitoba Vital Statistics.
