Educator, librarian.
Born at Wakopa on 7 April 1888, daughter of Samuel Lewis (1848-1925) and Cassie Lewis (1859-?), her childhood was spent at Alexander. After high school there, she attended the University of Western Ontario. She then taught high school at Deloraine and Carnduff (Saskatchewan) for a few years before moving to Winnipeg. There she was librarian for the Manitoba Department of Education, in which capacity she advised hundreds of teachers around the province. After retirement, she was on the temporary staff of the University of Manitoba Library. She was a member of the Canadian Library Association, Manitoba Library Association, Business and Professional Women's Club (President), and University Women's Club (President, 1923-1924). She died unmarried at the King George Hospital on 5 December 1964 and was buried in the St. John's Cathedral Cemetery.
