Manager.
Born on 9 September 1924, son of Samuel Levine and Sarah Duboff, during the Second World War he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Third Division under General George Patton. He was twice wounded in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and received two Purple Hearts. After the war, he came to Winnipeg where he managed five restaurants, including the L&L Grill, and the nightclub Rancho Don Carlos. In later years, he was District Manager for the Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company then RBC Insurance.
In 1946, he married Victoria Lieberson (1922-2019) at Chicago, Illinois and they had a daughter and a son. He was a member of the Masons (Mount Sinai Lodge) and Royal Canadian Legion (General Monash Branch). For over 30 years, he and his wife operated a giftshop at the Misericordia Hospital. He was a supporter of the Manitoba Theatre Centre, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Winnipeg Goldeyes.
He died at the Grace General Hospital on 5 April 2011 and was buried in the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.
