Engineer.
Born at Glasgow, Scotland on 19 December 1934, after graduating from high school he trained as a civil and structural engineer then worked for British Railways. He came to Canada in 1957 and, the following year, joined the engineering firm of T. A. Crosier and Associates, eventually become a named partner.
In 1958, he married Ann Torley at St. Mary's Cathedral and they subsequently had four children. The family had a summer cottage on Jessica Lake. He was a member of the Wildewood Club, St. Andrew's Society (President, 1998-1999), Scottish Gentlemen's Club, and Kiwanis Club of Winnipeg (President).
He died at Winnipeg on 22 February 2025.
