Physician.
Born at Odessa, Russia in 1879, he received his medical training there and came to Canada in 1910, opening a medical practice in Winnipeg on Selkirk Avenue near Powers Street. During the First World War, he served in France and Russia with the Royal Army Medical Corps (1915-1917) then returned to Winnipeg and resumed his practice in 1918, specializing in Dermatology. He served as a physician to the Jewish Orphanage and helped to raise money for its founding. In 1919, he was Vice-President and co-founder of the Jewish Medical Society. He moved to California in 1923 and died at Santa Monica on 9 October 1959. He was survived by his wife Minnie, son Samuel, and daughter May.
