Farmer.
Born at Lanark, Ontario on 17 January 1863, son of James Horn and Mary Ann Ackland, he was educated at Herrons Mills, Lanark County, Ontario. He came to Manitoba and farmed in the Kingsley district.
On 31 December 1884, he married Sarah Elisabeth Shewfelt (?-?) and they had five sons and four daughters. He was a councillor in the Rural Municipality of Lorne (two years) and later a councillor of Ward 2 in the Rural Municipality of Pembina. He was Secretary-Treasurer for the Kingsley School Board since 1884, Justice of the Peace, a commissioner for the taking of oaths, and a Presbyterian.
He died in the RM of Pembina on 7 October 1944 and was buried in the Kingsley Cemetery.
