Financial agent.
Born at Tamworth, Ontario on 2 August 1872, son of Ogden and Jean Hinch, nephew of Simpson Pelissier Hinch, he was educated at the Napanee Collegiate Institute and the Stratford (Ontario) Business College. He worked in the mercantile business at Napanee starting in 1890 then came to Winnipeg in 1898. By 1911, he was President of the Manitoba and Western Colonization Company.
In 1894, he married Marion MacEachern (1869-1942) of Napanee, Ontario. They had three children: Reginald Duncan Hinch (1897-1984), Grace Mary Hinch (1900-?, wife of Claude Alexander McRae), and Jean Catherine Hinch (1911-1992, wife of Ray Jones). The family lived at Brock and Crescent Road in Winnipeg. His recreations included all outdoor sports. He was an Independent Conservative.
He died in February 1958 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
