Merchant.

Born at Ryde, Isle of Wight on 25 September 1874, son of Dr. Henry H. Herbert, he was educated at Collingwood, Toronto, and Vancouver. He commenced a career as manufacturing agent at Vancouver, BC, in 1897. He came to Winnipeg in 1900. By 1911, he was General Manager of “The Locators,” located in the Merchants Bank.

In 1892, he married Julia Howard McFee (?-?) of Belleville, Ontario. They had two daughters. He was a member of the Assiniboine Club, Canadian Club, Conservative party, and Anglican church. He lived at 484 Sargent Avenue (1911) and 55 Hargrave Street (1915).
