Memorable Manitobans: George W. P. Heffelfinger (?-1970)

Businessman, community activist.

Active in the grain industry of Winnipeg, he served as Vice-President of the Northern Elevator Company (c1929), President of National Grain Company Limited, and President of the Winnipeg Grain Exchange (1963-1964). Active with several local institutions, he was a member of the Board of the Winnipeg General Hospital, Ducks Unlimited, and Pacific Elevator Limited. He retired in 1959 and died at Minneapolis, Minnesota on 6 October 1970.

Father of George W. P. Heffelfinger.
