Farmer, museum operator.
Born at Virden on 24 December 1903, son of Thomas George Heaman (1870-1951) and Elizabeth Clarkson (1877-1964), cousin of Richard Isaac Clarkson, he farmed in the Boyne district until retiring to spend his time renovating antique automobiles. From an initial purchase of a 1926 Ford Model T, his collection grew to include some 150 vehicles, including such rarities as a 1902 Orient Buckboard and a 1936 LaSalle. From 1966 to 1985, he displayed his collection at Heaman’s Antique Autorama at Carman.
On 30 March 1932, he married Elizabeth Margaret Kippen (1905-2009) at Carman and they had a son, George “Geordie” Heaman.
He died at Carman on 21 February 1989 and was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery.
