Memorable Manitobans: Henry Francis “Frank” Hall (c1907-1990)Historian, writer. In the 1960s, he was a member of the Historical Committee of the Manitoba Centennial Corporation. In 1970, he was awarded a Manitoba Centennial Medal by the Manitoba Historical Society for “remarkably creative work in publicising and promoting the history of Manitoba over many years as a speaker, writer, editor and public relations officer, and for contributing to public awareness of local history over a considerable period.” He was married to Esme Vera Lee (?-1986) with whom he had four children. He later moved to Calgary, Alberta where he died on 18 May 1990 and was buried in the city’s Union Cemetery. His articles for the Manitoba Historical Society:
