Memorable Manitobans: Claudette Lucienne Grenier (1974-2015)


Born at Swan Lake on 15 June 1974, she was raised on the family farm at St. Leon. She attended St. Leon School, Notre Dame de Lourdes School, St. Boniface University College, and the University of Manitoba (MEd, 2014). She taught Kindergarten at Richard School and later at St. Claude School. She served as the Principal of St. Leon School from 2002 to its closure in 2005. The last ten years of her teaching career were spent at Lacerte School, first as Vice-Principal (2005-2011) and later as Principal (2011-2014). She died at Morden on 11 January 2015.
