Farmer, municipal official.
Born in the Red River Settlement around 1847, his family being among the first settlers, he lived at Headingley with his widowed mother before moving to Minnesota for a time, to the farm of his uncle Thomas Porter, on the Mississippi River near St. Cloud. He returned to Headingley and began farming before moving to St. Charles.
In 1867, he married a daughter of W. Stevenson and they had six children. Green was a member of the municipal council of Assiniboia and for some years was Reeve of the Municipality (1886-1888).
He died on 9 March 1892.
