Memorable Manitobans: William Robert Good (1864-1914)
Farmer.
Born in Carleton County, Ontario on 1 January 1864, son of John Good and Jane Ardel, he farmed 720 acres near Stonewall, Manitoba. On 6 November 1889, he married Mary Alice Storey. They had eight children: Jane Ellen Good (1891-1891), John William Good (b 1893), Melville Robert Good (b 1895), Alberta Isabella Good (b 1897), Henry David Good (b 1899), Gertrude May Good (b 1901), Edward Albert Good (b 1903), and Elburn Borden Good (b 1912). He was a member of the Loyal Orange Order and the Episcopal Church. He died on 6 May 1914.
