Educator.
Born at Ponteix, Saskatchewan on 28 June 1926, son of Arthur Gendreau and Alice Rousseau, he attended grade school locally before moving to Manitoba, where he obtained a teaching certificate and BA degree from the University of Manitoba. His career in Education included teaching at Napinka School (1946-1947, Principal), Sandy Lake School (1951-1952), and Strathmillan School (1973-1977) prior to retirement in 1991. On 2 August 1952, he married Marie Fernande Irene Rita Lavack (1920-?) at Richer and they had three daughters. The couple split apart in June 1977, were legally separated in December 1977, filed for divorce in 1981, and concluded their divorce in 1982. He died on 2 July 2009 and was cremated.
